The Dog Rescue Directory shop was born out of a passion for dog welfare and the desire to promote the benefits of adopting a dog rather than buying a puppy from a commercial breeder.

At any one time, in the UK alone, there are over 100,000 dogs looking for a new, forever home. There's a dog out there for everyone - young old, large and small, specific breeds and mixes ... they're just looking for that special person to give them the new home they need.

Rescuing can be SO rewarding - taking a dog from confines of a rescue centre and watching them flourish and develop in a home environment and how quickly they transform from a confused, unhappy dog into a loving and trusting friend and companion is just the best.

Our main website is https://dogrescuedirectory.co.uk/. This site is a FREE resource that enables every dog rescue in the UK to create a free listing so that they can easily be found by local dog adopters.

Due to demand it also provides free listing for anyone needing to rehome their own dog. At all times our focus is on the dog's welfare - we don't judge or criticise we just want to help the dog and take at least a small degree of pressure off all the dog rescues who are currently bulging at the seams.

We set the shop up in 2024 - as we get so many visitors each day we felt there may be a demand for dog rescue themed products and that each sale would help dog rescues by:

1. Enabling us to donate a proportion from each sale directly to dog rescues across the UK (each month there will be a choice of 2 or 3 specific organisations for each customer to choose from).
2. Enabling us to keep on developing and expanding our directory and to further promote dog rescue.
